I got a cheap blackjack II, and I’m happy with it for the most part. However, I’m having trouble finding a headset/hands free set up for my car… I’m trying to avoid a bluetooth for price concerns and also, well – I find them dorky. I’d prefer a headset that sits around the ear like these or these. I cant seem to find one for the blackjack II, and opted for an earbud. The earbud suuucks, and doesnt seem to actually stay in my ear. The problem seems to be the jack that plugs into the phone is weird (see link for photo).Does anyone have a blackjack II and have a good headset? I’ve tried lots of googling, but to no avail. Since adding up card values is the basic skill used when playing blackjack, it’s important to know the breakdown of values per card in the game. There’s no problem about associating a value to the numbered cards (two to ten) since their amounts are already imprinted. Regarding face cards (jacks, queens, and kings), every single one of them is valued at ten. The ace card, however, is versatile since it can have a value of one or 11. But its versatility is directed by which number is appropriate in making the best total when you add up your blackjack card values. And here’s how the term “soft” and “hard” totals are coined when the ace is in play. Say you get an initial ace-nine deal. That alone makes a good soft total of 20. The term “soft” means that if you decide to hit or draw another card, there’ll be little to no risk of busting. For illustration’s sake, suppose you decide to hit on this soft 20 and you get two or higher. That’ll render a hard total since the best way to value the ace, from that point on, is at one so that you wouldn’t go over 21. So, if you get an ace-five on the initial deal in playing blackjack, you’ve got yourself a soft total of 15. If you decide to hit and draw a four, your new total will be a soft 19 since the ace in the ace-five-four combo is still valued at 11. But if the hit was a seven, in stead of totaling 22 which is a bust, the ace is understood to be valued at one which is the better alternative thus making the new hard total of 13 for the ace-five-seven combination. Blackjack card values are not complicated for many reasons such as suits are disregarded in adding them up, numbered cards are counted as is, and face cards are always valued at ten. It’s the ace card that presents tricky “hard” and “soft” totals in how they are added up in deals. In other words, as long as a hit request will retain the ace card’s value at 11, the sum is called a soft total. But if the previous hit reduces the ace’s value to one, it’s coined a hard total in blackjack.
